UMA Meluluskan 1498 Wisudawan

 

Pada Kegiatan Wisuda Program Sarjana, Magister dan Doktor Periode II Tahun 2024, Universitas Medan Area telah meluluskan 1.498 lulusan, terdiri atas 1399 lulusan Program Sarjana, 98 lulusan Program Magister, satu orang lulusan Program Doktor Ilmu Pertanian, dan tiga orang diantaranya adalah mahasiswa asing yang berasal dari Program studi Magister Hukum dan Magister Manajemen. Tema kegiatan ini yaitu Integrasi Teknologi Berbasis Digital untuk Menghasilkan Alumni yang Unggul dan Berdaya Saing Global Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045.

Rangkaian kegiatan Wisuda Periode II Tahun 2024 diantaranya kegiatan PMDK (Persiapan Memasuki Dunia Kerja) dan Expo/ Pameran Inovasi. Kegiatan PMDK pada Wisuda Periode 2 Tahun 2024 diikuti oleh 80% lebih Calon Wisudawan dan berhasil menghadirkan Narasumber diantaranya Ika Natassa (Banker dan Writetr )dan Kahfi Aulia (Komisaris PT. Kawasan Industri Medan). Tema kegiatan PMDK yaitu Menjadi Sarjana yang Unggul dan Berdaya Saing Global dengan Subtema Finding Your Passion dan Level up your opportunity to be hired right after graduated

Selain PMDK, pada Kegiatan WIsuda Periode 2 Tahun 2024 juga terdapat Expo Inovasi Produk yang diisi oleh 40 stand lebih produk inovasi Mahasiswa, Dosen dan UMKM.

Mahasiswa UMA Lolos Lomba Debat Bahasa Inggris Tingkat Nasional (National University Debating Championship)

National University Debating Championship merupakan lomba debat Bahasa Inggris yang diselenggarakan oleh Balai Pengembangan Talenta Indonesia (BPTI) Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi. Kegiatan ini merupakan event tahunan dalam rangka mengembangkan potensi mahasiswa agar menjadi manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa, berakhlak mulia, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, terampil, kompeten dan berbudaya.

Mahasiswa FP UMA Lolos KMI Award 2023

Mahasiswa Fakultas Pertanian UMA lolos dalam program KMI Award yang diselenggarakan oleh Kemendikbudristek. KMI atau Kewirausahaan Mahasiswa Indonesia merupakan ajang bergengsi bagi mahasiswa Indonesia di Bidang Kewirausahaan. Tahun 2023, UMA berhasil meraih 4 pendanaan Program Pengembangan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW) yang merupakan jalur seleksi untuk KMI Award. Tim UMA yang berhasil lolos dalam ajang KMI Award yaitu Wana Agro Lestari (an. Dina Surya Ningsih). Dina merupakan mahasiswa Program Studi Agribisnis dan sudah memulai usaha bidang pertanian sejak satu tahun kebelakang. Melalui program P2MW, Dina berhasil meningkatkan jangkauan usaha dengan meningkatkan jumlah variasi produk dan mampu membudidayakannya secara mandiri. Selain KMI Award, Tim FP UMA juga mengikuti kompetisi Expo KMI yang diikuti oleh Tim Focus Photo Project, Wana Agro Lestari dan Best Farm. Semoga Fakultas Pertanian UMA selalu mendapatkan prestasi terbaik di tingkat Nasional maupun Internasional.

Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area merupakan salah satu Fakultas Pertanian terbaik di Sumatera Utara karena salah satu program studinya mendapatkan akreditasi A. Pada wisuda periode 1 tahun 2023, Fakultas Pertanian UMA berhasil meluluskan 101 sarjana pertanian yang siap berkontribusi memajukan pertanian Indonesia.

Pada wisuda periode ini, terdapat 2 wisudawan yang telah lulus melalui jalur prestasi “bebas skripsi” karena telah meraih prestasi tingkat nasional pada ajang Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) seperti yang tertuang di dalam SK Rektor Nomor 3360/UMA.09/XII/2021 yaitu Saudara Seri Sekar Sari dan Feri Armando Hasibuan. Lulusan terbaik Fakultas Pertanian yaitu Saudara Juli Winando Lumban Toruan, SP dan Seri Sekar Sari, SP.

Pelaksanaan PHP2D HIMAGRO UMA

Program Holistik Pembinaan dan Pemberdayaan Desa (PHP2D) yaitu salah satu program yang diselenggarakan oleh Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI sebagai salah satu bentuk komitmen untuk memajukan desa. Himpunan Mahasiswa Agroteknologi (HIMAGRO) merupakan salah satu organisasi kemahasiswaan yang mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini dengan topik Peningkatan Nilai Ekonomi Desa Penghasil Jagung
dengan Memanfaatkan Limbah Jagung sebagai Media Tumbuh Jamur Tiram Putih (Pleurotus Ostreatus) dan mendapatkan dana hibah sebesar Rp. 27.000.000,- Kegiatan ini diketuai oleh Ilham Hidayat (178210047) dan diikuti oleh seluruh anggota HIMAGRO dengan dosen pendamping Saya sendiri (Indah Apriliya, SP, M.Si).

Program pertama dilaksanakan Hari Rabu, tanggal 30 September 2020 pukul 10.00 sd selesai. Kegiatan pertama dilakukan secara kolaborasi dengan Tim Dosen Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area untuk membantu dalam menjelaskan teori Teknik Budidaya dan Perawatan Jamur Tiram Putih kepada masyakarat di Desai Sei Rotan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan tetap mengikuti Protokol Kesehatan Covid-19 dengan jumlah peserta tidak lebih dari 15 orang.
